Wa Rogers (born William Allen Rogers on March 14, 1854 - died April 1, 1931) was an American political cartoonist and illustrator. He was known for his influential contributions to the political cartoons of his time. Rogers worked for a number of publications during his career, including Harper's Weekly, the New York Herald, the New York Times, and the New York Tribune. He is known for his hilarious and inimitable political satire, which generally targeted politicians, political parties, and celebrities. His cartoons often featured characterizations of famous people, such as Mark Twain and Theodore Roosevelt. He was also the first cartoonist to win the Pulitzer Prize, which he was awarded for his work with the New York Herald in 1924.
